Current Role

Alex assists closely-held and multinational companies and their related entities, owners and family members with tax structuring, tax consulting, tax compliance and tax credits. He also ensures clients comply with various international asset reporting initiatives and disclosure programs.

Alex also leads ��è��Ƶ’s interest charge domestic international sales corporation (IC-DISC) practice group, which helps companies reduce their tax liabilities on foreign sales.

Experience

Alex’s public accounting career began in 1992. He has extensive experience providing international tax, federal and multistate tax, estate and trust, and tax authority audit services, serving as a trusted advisor and member of the firm’s tax reform subcommittee. Alex joined ��è��Ƶ in 2004 as part of our combination with Parker Wittus & Co.

A Closer Look

• Alex helps clients navigate FATCA, which requires proper documentation of foreign assets. His article on the initiative, “IRS: No Delays – FATCA is Coming,” was featured in BWD, ��è��Ƶ’s magazine.
• In 2014, Alex received the Outgoing Task Force Chair Award – Federal Tax Task Force from the Michigan Association of Certified Public Accountants (MICPA).
• Alex has led numerous presentations and webinars for the MICPA, including at their international conference. Topics have included international tax reform, foreign bank account reporting, FATCA issues, tax treaties and withholding payments, and most recently Form K-2 & K-3 compliance.
• Alex is currently a member of the MICPA’s Federal Tax Task Force and International Task Force.
