CURRENT ROLEÌý

Amy serves public sector organizations holding the position of controller, finance director and chief financial officer with her clients. She advises clients in organizational strategy, assists in talent recruitment and development, presents to governing boards and regulatory bodies, and oversees the finance and accounting functions which include: supervising ÐÜèÊÓÆµ and client staff, independent audits, required state and grant reporting, budget preparation and monitoring, and contracting and procuring for services.Ìý

EXPERIENCEÌý

Amy joined ÐÜèÊÓÆµ in 2009 after spending 2 years with the firm as an audit intern. Amy served public schools, counties, cities, community health boards and authorities, and other not-for-profit agencies. Additionally, she served as an outsourcing associate, performing accounting, financial reporting, and grant management for a tribal government.Ìý

In 2015, Amy began working full time as an outsourcing manager, serving community health boards, school districts, not-for-profits and tribal governments.Ìý Her work ranges from advising clients as they operationalize new regulations and strategies to leading the finance and accounting departments of her clients. Amy has successfully assisted clients through many transformative changes including negotiating new payment models with service providers, expanding service delivery teams, and operationalizing new technology for accounts payable and contract management.ÌýÌý

  • Amy is a member of the Association of Government Accountants (past board member of the West Michigan Chapter) and the MICPA.Ìý
  • Actively involved in her community, Amy serves on the board of Life Matters Worldwide and volunteers with a local church and school district.ÌýÌý
  • Dedicated to sharing her knowledge with others, Amy leads internal trainings for government outsourcing and sections of the audit & assurance training.Ìý
  • Specializing in Michigan community mental health authorities, Amy provides training on topics such as government accounting, project management, procurement, contracting and grant management.
