Current Role

Michelle is an integral member of ��è��Ƶ’s public sector group. She is a client ambassador for some of the firm’s largest not-for-profit clients.

Leading nearly 100 associates, Michelle is a regional assurance department head. She is a firm-wide technical resource and holds responsibility for in-house continuing professional education.

Experience

Michelle joined ��è��Ƶ in 1993 after practicing at a national public accounting firm for more than three years, where her experience included audit services rendered to higher education institutions, public school districts and not-for-profit organizations.

During her tenure at ��è��Ƶ, Michelle continued to see success with public sector clients, qualifying her to serve as a technical reviewer on these types of engagements. A proven leader, Michelle is the firm’s representative for the AICPA’s Not-for-Profit Section, staying at the forefront of the latest trends and industry best practices.

Michelle regularly attends the national not-for-profit industry conference held by the AICPA and she has instructed education programs for the Michigan Nonprofit Association.

A Closer Look

• As an involved member of her community, Michelle serves on the Jackson Community Foundation board and finance committee.
• Michelle is currently the lead principal for a number of not-for-profit clients, including Leader Dogs for the Blind and HighScope Educational Research Foundation.
• Michelle is a member of ��è��Ƶ’s Not-For-Profit Reporting Model task force, focused on educating and communicating the new standard for both clients and internal associates.
